SkelSketch - Installation

After purchasing the app, you will receive an email with a link to download the latest version of the app. You can also find the download link in your account on the Superhive (former Blender Market) website.

The app is distributed as 2 zip files:

• SkelSketch VR app (SkelSketch_VR_Win64.zip) this is the main application that you will run on your VR headset.
• SkelSketch Blender extension: (LM_SkelSketch.zip) this is the addon that you will install in Blender to import, rig and edit models.

SkelSketch VR app

The app is distributed as a zip file. Unzip the file and copy the folder to your preferred location. You can run the app by double-clicking on the SkelSketch.exe file inside the folder.

Note: The app requires a VR headset and controllers to run. Make sure your headset is connected and set up properly before running the app.

Add to Oculus library

If you are using an Oculus headset, you can add the app to your Oculus library for easier access. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open the Oculus app on your PC.
2. Click on the "Library" tab.
3. Click on the "Plus" button on the top right.
4. Click on the "Add it from here" link in the bottom left of the window
5. Select the folder where you unzipped the app, select the SkelSketch.exe file and click "Add".

Add to SteamVR library

If you are using a SteamVR headset, you can add the app to your SteamVR library for easier access. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open the Steam app on your PC.
2. Click on the "Library" tab.
3. Click on the "Add a game" button on the bottom left.
4. Select "Add a Non-Steam Game".
5. Select the folder where you unzipped the app, select the SkelSketch.exe file and click "Add selected programs".

SkelSketch Blender extension

The extension is distributed as a zip file. You can install it in Blender by following these steps:

1. Open Blender.
2. Go to Edit > Preferences.
3. Click on the "Add-ons" or "Extensions" tab.
4. Click on the little down arrow in the top right, after the search bar.
5. Select "Install from disk..." from the dropdown menu.
6. Select the zip file you downloaded and click "Install Add-on".
7. Enable the addon by checking the box next to it in the list, if it's not enabled already.

The extension is now installed and ready to use. You can find it in the "SkelSketch" tab in the Blender sidebar (N key).

Note: The extension requires Blender 4.2 or higher to run. Make sure you have the latest version of Blender installed before installing the extension.

To update the extension, simply download the latest version from the Superhive website and repeat the installation steps above. You can safely overwrite the old version of the extension with the new one.
